"Fountain of youth" may be only a legend, but it never stopped scientists seeking access to "longevity" pace. In recent years, researchers have strong interests on rapamycin, metformin and other drugs, mainly because they can effectively extend life and the ability to treat disease.
However, recent studies have shown that anti-aging ability of these drugs are no longer unique: the number of plant extracts containing known strongest anti-aging properties.
Researchers from Concordia University in Canada conducted more than 10000 screening tests, and to see which plant extracts can effectively prolong the survival period of yeast.

Other molecules are from cohosh extract, valerian extract,passion flower extract, ginkgo extract and celery extract.
The researchers say they will be divided into six different projects to further study the molecular mechanisms of them as well as effects behind it.
